I dislike people trying to convince me to read the Twilight series (I’ll get to it or I won’t, either way I’m good with it), gratuitous violence, and strawberry ice cream. (I know I’m alone on this last one, and again, I’m good with it.)

Favorite movies–(besides HP) French Kiss, Maid of Honor, A Lot Like Love, Just Married, and Sweet Home Alabama. Oh, and Miss Congeniality, Sabrina (both versions) and a 1940′s movie called Dear Ruth. If you haven’t seen it, you should! A-dorable. Anything with Doris Day and most all of Marilyn’s and Audrey’s.

Hallmark movie coming to DVD June 11th

Oh, I got to tell you about this wonderful movie.  It aired on Hallmark channel in May and will be released on DVD June 11th.  I was so excited when I was contacted to receive a screeners copy in exchange for my honest review.  Oh, I love Beverly Lewis books.  I just can't get enough of them.  And I really love it when they are put to movies.  Michael Landon Jr.  has produced another award winner in my opinion.  Absolutely no bad language.  That is a plus plus so hard to find in movies now days.  using bad language doesn't add one thing to a movie except turn off those watchers that don't feel the need to talk that way.  Your point can be made without using bad words.  anyway enough about my views on language.  There are a few very brief sceens where Dylan Bennett does take some drinks from a whisky flask, but it doesn't show any drunkenness or violence.    The acting is superb.  The actors preform excellent in their roles. I sure trust Landon plans on a third movie in this series because it does leave ya with some questions; which would leave one to think there is a possibility of more to come.

Now, her quest to find her birth-mother, Laura Mayfield-Bennett (Sherry Stringfield, TV's "ER"), has drawn her into world of the "Englishers." BEVERLY LEWIS’ THE CONFESSION has a running time of approximately 88 minutes and is not rated. The film will air on the Hallmark Channel on May 11, 2013.

In the decade since my first contract I’ve written fifteen books, from Beyond the Blue, a story about international adoption set in Vietnam, to Courting Cate, a retelling of Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” set in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. No matter what I write, I aim to reveal truths about God’s love, beauty, and redemptive work in our lives. My goal is to connect more deeply to God, family, and friends through my writing. My hope is that my stories encourage readers to deepen their own connections too.

ABOUT THE BOOK

When Amish farmer Pete Treger moves to Paradise Township, Pennsylvania, seeking a better life, he meets sisters Cate and Betsy Miller. Both are beautiful, but older sister Cate is known more for her sharp tongue and fiery temper than her striking appearance. Betsy, on the other hand, is sweet and flirty--and seems to have attracted most of the bachelors in Lancaster County!

However, the sisters' wealthy father has made one hard and fast rule: elder sister must marry first, before the younger can even start courting. Unfortunately for poor Betsy, and for the men who want to court her, her older sister, Cate, doesn't have any suitors--until Pete comes to town, that is.

Though he finds both sisters attractive, something about Cate's feisty demeanor appeals to him. Soon the other bachelors in the district convince Pete to court Cate. She hardly seems receptive to his overtures, though. Instead, she's immediately suspicious of his interest.
