3rd Day of Christmas Baking....

On the Third Day of Christmas baking I made for my true love......

Cherry Mash Bars

2 cups sugar
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
12 regular size marshmallows
1/4 teaspoon salt

1.)  Boil 5 minutes stirring constantly Remove from heat.
2.)  Add
1 cup of cherry chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped peanuts or spanish nuts
3.)  Mix well.  Spread in ungreased  9/13 pan

4.)Melt:
2 cups (12 oz.) milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup peanut butter
5.)  stir in 3/4 cup chopped peanuts or spanish nuts
6.) pour over cherry mixture.  Cool.  cut into 1 & 1/2 inch squares.  Makes 3 dozen.

(Note:  some recipes have you just put nuts in chocolate mixture, but my recipe calls for it in both Chocolate and cherry mixture.)
