"Delight thyself also in the Lord."-Psalm 37:4

The teaching of these words must seem very surprising to those who are strangers to vital godliness, but to the sincere believer it is only the inculcation of a recognized truth. The life of the believer is here described as a delight in God, and we are thus certified of the great fact that true religion overflows with happiness and joy. Ungodly persons and mere professors never look upon religion as a joyful thing; to them it is service, duty, or necessity, but never pleasure or delight. If they attend to religion at all, it is either that they may gain thereby, or else because they dare not do otherwise. The thought of delight in religion is so strange to most men, that no two words in their language stand further apart than "holiness" and "delight." But believers who know Christ, understand that delight and faith are so blessedly united, that the gates of hell cannot prevail to separate them. They who love God with all their hearts, find that His ways are ways of pleasantness, and all His paths are peace. Such joys, such brimful delights, such overflowing blessednesses, do the saints discover in their Lord, that so far from serving Him from custom, they would follow Him though all the world cast out His name as evil. We fear not God because of any compulsion; our faith is no fetter, our profession is no bondage, we are not dragged to holiness, nor driven to duty. No, our piety is our pleasure, our hope is our happiness, our duty is our delight.

Delight and true religion are as allied as root and flower; as indivisible as truth and certainty; they are, in fact, two precious jewels glittering side by side in a setting of gold.

"'Tis when we taste Thy love,
    Our joys divinely grow,
    Unspeakable like those above,
    And heaven begins below."

Sometimes life gives you lemons.....

http://www.sewwequilt.com/2014/11/we-support-you-blog-hop-sign-up-begins.html

Well I failed to get my project completed.  It did get started.  I feel so terrible that it didn't get done.  Life has just been getting in my way.  I thought I was clear and ready.  Then last weekend started cutting and sewing and much to my displeasure the pattern had me cut a wrong size of an item. (Should have cut 2 & 1/2 instead of 2 &3/8) Therefore, it didn't work.  Then I didn't have enough fabric to make again so had to wait til Monday to get more fabric.  Got to work Monday night on it little, but not enough.  Tuesday we had sewer backup in our basement so I dealt with that Tuesday night after work instead of sewing. YUCK!  Trust me I'd rather have sewn.  Wednesday night was church.  I thought I had Thursday night to myself.....But, low and behold hubby worked day instead of night....Sew I didn't get to my machine and here it is time to post and the project isn't completed.  Sorry.  Here are pictures of what is done.

This is the outside of the bag

Inside panel #2
It too will have the pink breast cancer fabric around it to make it the right size.

I know you all are going to ask Why is the bra pattern going to be inside the bag?  Well, it is an inside family joke so I decided to put it inside the bag.   The recipient of the bag will be my mom.

She has metastatic breast cancer that is now in her skull.  She has had three treatments for this and is doing absolutely wonderful at this present time which we are all so grateful for.  This picture was taken this past summer when we all found out her condition.  Pictured are my two lovely daughters, that adore their G'ma,  my mom and myself.

I really, really feel bad that this bag didn't get completed in time.

  14. Your bra pattern is cut and perfect for this being inside the tote. The lace and embroidery would snag every time she put something in it. I like the bag very much and the free mammogram is a life saving gift for some one. I'm in prayer for your Mother as is every one mentioned in this hop.
