Today is my day for posting. I want to thank Madame Samm @ Sew we quilt for putting this together and our wonderful cheerleader Thearica @ Pigtales and Quilts who cheered us on and made sure we were on task.
Oh the Things that you can do with a pompom or two...Or three....Or four. No Dr. Seuss didn't say that but he probably would have if he had a chance to be in the Shake your Pom Poms blog hop. Today I'm delighted to be included in this blog hop. We have a reason or two or three or four....to shake our PomPoms these days in our household.
This week we are shaking our pom poms because our baby graduates...boo hoo.
Things as we know them will be changing greatly. Never thought I'd see this day come so quickly.
But I know that isn't why you are visiting my blog today...you want to see what I made for the blog hop...
Well, I started by pulling out many craft supplies that I had on hand and only bought my pompom makers for this project....Yeah Me!
Not all the supplies I used were posted here and some of the supplies pictured I didn't use because this was a think-up as you go, a be-creative for a change project. I just pulled out things I thought I might use. I had fun. I spent good 3-4 hours just thinking and adding as I went.
First of course I made my pompoms....
4 of them to be exact |
(check out my pompom tutorial here)
Then I just built from there...painted stick and Styrofoam ball.
eyes, beak and hat followed with craft foam board |
And this is what my kitchen looked like when I was done with my creating session....
So what exactly did I create???? a pompom owl graduate topiary
He had to find a home so I decided to he needed to replace this scene....
definitely time to replace the snowmen; I needed something new to look at for awhile.
The wise-owl is among us |
found some other graduation decorations to add to the wise owl |
Hope you enjoyed visiting my post. Thanks again for visiting and be sure to visit the other blogs on this tour today...
